Arts District & Little Tokyo: Start off the morning at a nice cafe. If you live around here, chances are you have a dog, so stroll around this micro-neighborhood with your canine companion, taking in the L.A. River, the great bridges that span across the River, the concrete, brick, and sunshine. Head over to Little Tokyo for a bite of some early-morning mochi. Shop around that little village they have there, and visit the Japanese American National Museum. There’s a great plaza (or is it a paseo?) there.
Head west into downtown on 1st St, admiring (or scoffing) at the Caltrans and LAPD buildings along the way. Walk down Main St., get something to drink from Central Market (agua fresca, perhaps?), then catch the 720 Rapid toward Westwood.
Get off at MacArthur Park: pupusas, tamales, shaved ice by the lake. Continue towards Koreatown: traditional teahouses
Continue to Miracle Mile: LACMA
Bike Nation to Culver City for dinner
Expo back to downtown
