I love LA! I love it so much that each month I host a walking tour of a different neighbourhood.
My car-free day would involve gathering my walking tour group and heading towards Boyle Heights. The first stop would be Self Help Graphics – not quite Boyle Heights, but I’ve never been and have always wanted to go! Next stop Mariachi Plaza and Libros Schmibros. I love books! From there we’d head towards Caine’s Arcade and get us some fun passes! After some cardboard skeeball, we’d spend some time in Hollenbeck Park. Nearby stops would include Linda Vista Hospital and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. My group really likes to snack along the way. So, while we might end up tasting some various other things along the way, we’d head up to Guisados for some tacos.
Throughout the tour we’d keep a look out for kooky shops, street art and murals, historic stops, and anything weird.
